Hangzhou, China - The 19th Asian Games has been a spectacle of sportsmanship and event production. As a leading broadcast technology company, Star Media provided full support for the live production of Rowing, Canoe Sprint, Canoe Slalom, and Baseball events.
With our self-developed 4K IP OB6 and OB3 broadcast vehicles, our highly skilled team at Star Media delivered high-definition video along with surround sound for public live signal productions. Our team, including a director-general and a technical team with extensive experience in live events, including the 2016 Olympics, ensured top-notch execution.
To ensure top-tier broadcasting quality, Star Media has engineered custom broadcasting equipment tailored to different sports. For example, during rowing, canoe sprint, and canoe slalom competitions, Star Media deployed specialized tools like high-speed cameras, film track machines, three-axis gyroscopes, wireless microwaves, drones, and mobile tracking boats. These adaptations were aimed at delivering comprehensive coverage, capturing athletes’ most emotive moments.
Beyond these specialized provisions, Star Media utilized remote power supply and optical transmission to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting from long-distance camera positions. This strategic approach offers viewers multiple angles and perspectives, elevating their viewing experience to a new level.
At the Asian Games baseball field, Star Media implemented a continuous seven-day power-on using our OB3 setup, ensuring consistent signals and comprehensive support for production teams.
Furthermore, Star Media leveraged SONY F5500 movie cameras and PL Mount 50-1000mm Film Telephoto Lens to capture cinematic championship moments. Employing five 12-channel slow-motion servers allowed for multi-angle slow-motion playback, enriching the coverage with diverse camera perspective.
Regarding audio production, Star Media adopted a 4.0 surround sound + stereo production approach. We employed Sennheiser 416 stereo microphones placed strategically to capture sound from various points along the competition venue.
Currently, event production stands as a cornerstone in large-scale international sports broadcasting. Our experienced and skilled team at Star Media is always dedicated to both domestic and international sports production. The success garnered from the live productions at the 19th Asian Games serves as an inspiring testament to our capabilities, driving our commitment to excellence in future sporting events.
