Addressing the challenge of international venue equipment constraints, the international live tournament team orchestrated the production and broadcast of the Asian Tour, seamlessly coordinating the entire process using the HD EFP box system across this series of overseas golf tournaments.
The EFP system provided by Star Media embodies a cost-effective “system product.” Comprising eight flexible flight boxes, it encompasses essential functionalities including video, audio, monitoring, synchronization, TALLY, and call subsystem. Additionally, it offers specialized features such as a slow-motion playback system and wireless transmission, tailored to the demands of international golf event broadcasting.
Inaugurating the Star Media overseas broadcast series with the New Asian Tour International Tournament in Korea, the event’s broadcast concluded smoothly over four days, showcasing the reliability and flexibility of the HD EFP box system. With its methodical design and diverse port settings, akin to the golf tournament broadcast itself, each facet – from high-definition production to slow-motion playback, live timing and scoring, and simultaneous live broadcast – was expertly executed, effectively demonstrating the advantages of the EFP production methodology.

The Asian tournaments’ entire system encompasses switching, tuning, monitoring, calling, synchronization, I/O interface board, and more. Utilizing 12 channels SONY HD cameras, 4 sets of LINK wireless microwave cameras, and GV 3ME multi-format HD switchers as the primary components, alongside emergency video matrices, audio main and backup mixers, and 2 sets of 8-channel EVS slow-motion playback systems, this integrated system boasts both visual elegance and functionality. Its swift assembly and disassembly, combined with robust portability and adaptability, enable efficient handling and quick setup.

Star Media Production Services specializes in professional media services, including program production, live broadcasting services, microwave and satellite transmission, as well as performance technology services. Our facilities boast the most cutting-edge studios, spanning from 3600 m2 to XR virtual 600 m2, totalling nearly 100 studios and ancillary areas across China. Our equipment inventory comprises over 30 4K UHD channels, 200+ HD video channels, featuring a range of specialized equipment such as long-focus lenses, slow-motion cameras, high-speed cameras, shooting robots, virtual production gear, motion capture systems, and face capture devices. Additionally, our fleet includes two large TV 4K UHD OB trucks, four HD OB trucks, and three satellite communication trucks, capable of simultaneous broadcasting of 20 TV programs or 6 external events in audio and video.
